Bliss. Trance with Goddess Cathy is for me, that. Blissful. I yearn for those times when I can just find a moment alone to sit back and listen to her voice. Before long it seems to make my mind shift into a mode where my only thoughts are on what she is telling me, where she is leading. My mind knows that the goal is to give her my pure and undivided attention.
Stray thoughts are outsiders, foreign, and unimportant distractions that keep me from going deeper with her. They are the enemy that holds me back- so I must be in a totally safe place, free of worry that someone will come along, free of noises and bothers. This is Goddess Cathy time. Just for a few minutes. Time of devotion. Time to draw nearer. Time to let her in and give her my hand and descend that golden staircase again, one step deeper today than yesterday. And her staircase never ends.
Recently I began to realize that I go into trance instantly at the beginning of The Inception. Before any hypnotic triggers are spoken, I find myself slipping.
The soft, yet dramatic underscore begins, one that speaks of anticipating a new discovery. Strings, violins…something is about to happen. And then she speaks, and it is so good to hear her. So good.
“Hello subject. It is so wonderful to have you here with me.”
And my mind agrees with that. It is wonderful to be here with her. It’s 20 seconds in to the recording, and already I feel myself slipping down into trance. This is something, I think, that is new for me. It has happened through repeated listening to all of her works, and now it’s.. is it just her voice? Is it the knowledge and anticipation of where I know this recording will take me? Or is it just her- the connection with her that has come about through listening. How much have I given myself to her?
My mind knows. And I want to go deeper. One more step today.
